KCU (Kettering Community Unit) is a charity that provides free training and education courses to the low waged and unwaged people of Kettering. We also provide re-cycled furniture and household goods at low cost and Foodbank services to those in food poverty.

The installation was planned and executed very efficiently and professionally. Everything that required explanation was done so in a clear and understandable manner in plain English which we appreciated. All fourteen computers were tested for all functionality and printing and this was demonstrated to us.

The after sales service has been good so far and we hope that this will continue.

Finally, I would say that IT4Charity demonstrated a real customer centric approach to this installation and I would have confidence in recommending them to other charities.

We are grateful to IT4Charity for the friendly and professional advise they gave us when applying for the grant to upgrade our computer system. The installation was handled quickly and efficiently, as the building we occupy is very old it is not the easiest place to handle a complete replacement of a computer system. Any problems which arose were resolved very quickly. The new system has enabled us to improve our services to the sight-impaired residents of Hastings and Rother.

The Bridgemere Centre really appreciates the help IT4Charity gave us in securing a significant grant enabling us to replace our old computer and telephone equipment, fit a CCTV system and in the near future fit a new PA system.

Their technical support team continues to provide our technical support, ironing out the wrinkles and problems often encountered with new systems.

Landport Youth Centre is delighted with the service it has received from SME IT Solutions at every stage. They helped us to establish our IT needs; they supported us through a granny application process; they worked well with our young people in organising the set up of the equipment. Everything went very smoothly and we look forward to testing their back-up support in due course.

Friends of Chichester Hospitals support St Richard’s Hospital and local mental health services. We provide volunteers for the Hospital Shop and Ward Trolley and have several hundred members. We really needed new computers to help with our admin and promoting the work of the charity. SME helped us to choose the most suitable IT equipment so that we can work more efficiently. The installation was really efficient and everything was configured very smoothly – it took away all the stress of trying to make everything work together, and the support service has been great on the very few occasions we have needed advice or help.

SME were great in helping us getting our most substantial grant to date. At YOYO Youth Club we offer a safe, fun weekly session for young people age 11+, starting out with no capital and obviously limited income we really needed some help to get some equipment which we felt was vital in working effectively with young people. The whole process of applying for Lottery funds seemed a bit overwhelming but Claire from SME was great, from the initial meeting to work out need including tech advice from mark at SME, help with filling in the forms and even working out how to show our groups finances. Claire completed most of the leg work for us allowing us to focus on the group. Once our funding was secured, Rachel and Mark swung into action ensuring we received the best equipment to meet our needs. They are certainly an efficiently, friendly team and incredibly helpful for those with limited time and experience of the funding process. YOYO achieved a grant of £9,859! allowing us to get fully kitted out with everything ‘IT’  we could imagine. Without the help of SME I doubt we would have got through the application process.

We are a special school in Crowborough and heard about the ICT grant and the fact that Claire completed the forms was very appealing. Once we contacted SME, Claire came along to the school and discussed our needs, and did most of the ground work. We were delighted to hear that we had been awarded £10,000 towards ICT equipment which included ipads, laptops, video cameras and cameras for our lending library project. The equipment was ordered by SME and delivered promptly. We have also recommended the service to another school, who are waiting to hear if they have been successful. I would have no hesitation in recommending this service.

We were introduced to SME Solutions by means of their handling our club’s application for a Lottery Funding grant. Their submission on our behalf was successful and from this point on, they handled a complete re-design of our web page which was a very basic site created some 15+ years ago. Few of our members had any knowledge of web design and from the start of the project, we were encouraged to let them know exactly what we wished to be shown, especially the number of sections, the content, how much should be on public view and of course security. Once the design was completed, it was quickly submitted for our approval, tweaked as required and we were then given instructions on how to edit and maintain content as necessary. The process did not end there, as we initially and understandably had a few problems, which were quickly solved and guidance given. We now have a very professional end product. SME are hosting our domain and are there whenever we need them and we have no hesitation in recommending their services.
